| Dear Allies and Partners, NATO is developing a new Strategic Concept. This process is well underway and will be concluded at the Lisbon Summit in late 2010. A Group of Experts is leading the way and will provide the Alliance with valuable input next summer. To help generate ideas, a series of seminars is being organised. The Alliance attaches great importance to ensuring an open and inclusive process in the time ahead. NATO Partners, representatives from other international organisations, think tanks and NGOs, journalists and experts will be encouraged to provide input into this process. On behalf of Germany, Romania, Spain and Norway I have the pleasure of welcoming Allies and Partners to a seminar in Oslo on 14 January 2010. The seminar will be devoted to NATO’s partnerships. I hope this will provide a good opportunity for Partners and Allies to discuss ideas as to how we can develop our partnerships further. I look forward to seeing you in Oslo. | |
